Environmental Research at Virginia Park

Rob and Sue have actively supported CSIRO research for many years.  In 2002, the Bennettos implemented contemporary best management practices for grazing land management.  They have sustained these practices over the following years, including in periods of drought.   As a result, Virginia Park Station is a useful reference property to demonstrate the benefits of improved land management.

The CSIRO also monitors water, sediment and nutrient fluxes at several site locations within Virginia Park.  Such research has been published in a range of scientific journal articles.
